I’ve always found people fascinating and wonderful, despite all our warts and flaws. My mother instilled a sense of curiosity, empathy and compassion from an early age. And, like so many counsellors, I found myself as the “go-to”, non-judgemental, friend always ready with a strong shoulder, easy ear, and impartial viewpoint.

I didn’t always do this work though … I’ve had many a twist and turn in life; had a varied career from the performing arts to finance/admin support, I've got 2 kids, had 2 husbands, lived in 5 countries, driven across Canada (just about) with the 2 kids as well as 2 cats and a drama queen of a spider plant to move from Toronto to Kelowna to shake things up and be closer to family, thrown it all up in the air and made another life pivot. Yet interestingly all my twist and turns and transitions always centred around learning what makes us Who We Are, and/or supporting others to find Their Way.

And it was here in the Okanagan that I found my Self again, (re)discovered Self, my right-time right-place Self.

​

I have fallen headfirst into the Healing Arts. And it feels like home.

​

When you're ready, I'm here for you.

 

I believe strongly in a strength and compassion focussed therapy,

I lean heavily into Acceptance and Commitment therapy.

I believe we are who we are as a sum of our journey, and we don’t have to be ruled by that.

We often lose our way, we lose our power, we lose our Self on this journey of Life.

We can control our narrative and find our way to our home Self.

However s/he presents.

 

Our mindset can help us overcome, and persevere, and ultimately enable the freedom to thrive. It is in our internal landscape that we can find our path out from even the darkest of times.
